Farmington Founders Festival 5k Color Run
The Farmington Founders Festival LOC Credit Union 5k Color Run takes place in Farmington, Michigan. The event features a chip-timed 5 km course that winds through scenic Shiawassee Park and Downtown Farmington. The route begins on Power Road at Shiawassee Park and concludes on a path within the same park.
Participants follow a course that includes four specific color stations. These stations are positioned so that runners who prefer to avoid the color powder have sufficient space to pass by them. The course includes one water station, and post-race refreshments are provided to all participants.
This event accommodates different participation styles by organizing the starting lineup based on pace. Competitive runners are placed at the front, followed by general runners in the middle and walkers at the rear. The Michigan Running Foundation provides professional timing services, and results are available via text and live updates.

Registered participants receive a commemorative race bib and a finisher medal. A race t-shirt is included for those who register by July 5, 2026; after this date, shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners, as well as to top finishers in various age categories ranging from 12 and under to 70 and over.
