Event Overview
The Fanwood 5K Pizza Run & Family Fun Run is a community athletic event held in Fanwood, New Jersey. Organized by the Fanwood Recreation Commission, the event utilizes a USATF Certified Course for its main running event. All proceeds from the race are directed toward supporting local recreation events, parks, and facilities.
Participants can choose from two distinct distances:
- 5K Pizza Run
- 1 Mile Family Fun Run
All finishers receive a complimentary slice of pizza. Additionally, a cup of beer is available for participants with a valid ID. T-shirts are provided to those who register by the early October deadline, while later registrants may receive them based on availability.
Logistics
The event takes place at Borough Hall. For those arriving by vehicle, free parking is available at the Fanwood Train Station. Bib pickup is scheduled for the day prior to the race at the Patricia Kuran Cultural Center/Carriage House, located at 135 Watson Road, or on the morning of the event at Borough Hall. Online registration typically closes the day before the race. Discounts on entry fees are offered to USATF-NJ members for the 5K event.
