First Horizon Family Run for Prevention
The First Horizon Family Run for Prevention is a chipped and timed 5K run and walk held at Jaycee Park in Cape Coral, Florida on January 30, 2027. The event is family oriented and the course is stroller and pet friendly. Team registrations are available and team members receive a $5.00 registration discount.
Registration opens on February 16, 2026 and closes on July 5, 2026; the standard registration fee is $25.00. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet at the Bell Tower in Fort Myers. Race day packet pickup is available at Jaycee Park. T shirts are provided to the first 300 registrants, with sizes not guaranteed. The event will be held rain or shine and refunds are not offered.
Chipping and timing services are provided by Beach Bum Timing. Awards follow the run and include overall first place male and female plus awards to male and female, three deep, in these age groups: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, and 71 and up. The largest team receives the JOSH TROPHY and yearly bragging rights.
All proceeds support Drug House Odyssey, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) prevention clubs, and drug and alcohol abuse prevention in Lee County. Drug Free Lee is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
