First Horizon Family Run for Prevention
The event is a chipped and timed 5K family run and walk held at Babcock Ranch in Florida. The course is stroller and pet friendly and is open to participants of all ages. Team registrations are available and team members receive a $5.00 discount. The largest team will receive the JOSH TROPHY.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for January 29, 2027 at Fleet Feet at the Bell Tower in Fort Myers. Race day packet pickup is at Founder's Square, Babcock Ranch. T shirts are provided for the first 300 registrants and sizes are not guaranteed. The event is held rain or shine and refunds are not available.
Awards are presented after the run. Overall first place awards are given to the top male and female finishers. Age group awards are presented three deep in these groups: 1 to 10, 11 to 20, 21 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, 51 to 60, 61 to 70, and 71 and up. Chipping and timing services are provided by Beach Bum Timing.
Registration opens February 16, 2026 and closes July 5, 2026. The registration fee listed is $25.00. All proceeds support Drug House Odyssey, Students Against Destructive Decisions Prevention Clubs, and drug and alcohol abuse prevention in Lee County through the nonprofit Drug Free Lee.
