Falls Creek Easter Fun Run
The Falls Creek Easter Fun Run is a community trail event held in Falls Creek with a single measured course of 5 km and 151 m of elevation gain. The start and finish are located at Slalom Plaza beside the base of Haileys Comet chairlift. Medals and chocolate are provided at the finish, and age category winners and spot prize winners are announced after the last runner crosses the line.
The course begins with a sustained climb using ski runs and mountain bike tracks, includes a boardwalk and aqueduct crossings, sections of singletrack and road, and finishes with a flowy downhill back to Slalom Plaza. Key named features on the route include Wombat’s Ramble, the Walking on Water trail, Pretty Valley Road, Turbine MTB, Generator Down, Broadway Ski Run, Orys ski run, and the Jump Start MTB trail.
The event uses age-based categories determined at 31/12/2027: Little Legends (10 and under), Summit Strivers (11-16), Peak Performers (17-49), and Mountain Masters (50+), each split by gender. The field is capped at 181 runners. Basic first aid is available on site; advanced medical services may be some distance away. Toilet facilities are located in the 1550 precinct and at public toilets along the Slalom Plaza stairs.
