Falling Water Trail Marathon / Half Marathon 2026 : Eugenia, ON
This event offers two trail races on the Beaver Valley section of the Bruce Trail, starting and finishing at the Beaver Valley Ski Club in Eugenia, Ontario. The route follows the Falling Water section and mostly main trail marked with white blazes, with some crossover trails in blue; orange flags and ribbons will mark key turns. Runners must know how to follow blazes.
Distances:
- approximately 42 km on single-track and crossover trails
- approximately 21 km containing the two most demanding sections of the full course
The full marathon includes about 1600 m of elevation gain and roughly 1600 m of descent. The half marathon includes close to 1000 m of gain. The terrain is rocky, rooty, and highly hilly, and aid stations are spaced farther apart due to limited access. Poles are permitted. This course is not a Boston Marathon qualifier.
Event details and services: the race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Each distance is limited to 100 participants. Organizers will donate CA$20 from every registration to the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club. Race kit items include a race shirt and gels supplied by THN Labs; La Sportiva will attend with a demo shoe fleet. The event is cup-less; runners should bring a collapsible cup or bottle.
Logistics: snacks will be available at the finish but no included post-race meal. Overall cutoffs are 11 hours for the marathon and 5.5 hours for the half. Refund policy: a 100% race credit is available for cancellations made at least 30 days before the event; bib transfers are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
