Falling Water Trail Marathon and Half Marathon 2026
The event takes place on August 8 and 9, 2026 in Eugenia, Ontario, at the Beaver Valley Ski Club. It offers two trail distances with a field limit of 100 participants per distance to protect the trails.
- Trail Marathon: approximately 42.2 km, about 1600 m elevation gain and loss.
- Trail Half Marathon: approximately 21 km, about 1000 m elevation gain.
Most of the courses run on the main Bruce Trail with some crossover sections and a newly added Kimberley Side Trail near the finish. The route is rocky, rooty and very hilly. Permanent white blazes mark the main course and blue blazes mark crossover trails; orange flags and ribbons will supplement those markings. Poles are permitted. A local nutrition supplier will include gels in race kits and at aid stations.
Aid stations are spaced farther apart than at many events due to challenging terrain and limited access. The event is cup-less so participants must carry a collapsible cup or bottle. The marathon uses an overall cutoff of 11 hours with rolling intermediate cutoffs by aid station; the half marathon cutoff is 5.5 hours.
Race kits for 2026 include a race shirt. The organizer donates CA$20 from each registration to the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club. Cancellations up to 30 days before the event receive a 100% race credit; transfers of bibs are allowed without penalty. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
