Falling Water Trail Marathon / Half Marathon 2026
The event takes place on the Beaver Valley section of the Bruce Trail in Eugenia, with start and finish at the Beaver Valley Ski Club. It is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and runs across two days in August 2026.
Courses follow primarily white and blue blaze markings; participants must understand how to follow blazes. The terrain is technical with rocky and rooty sections and substantial elevation changes. The marathon reports roughly 1600 m of elevation gain and loss; the half marathon reports close to 1000 m of elevation gain. Poles are permitted. Additional orange flags and ribbons will mark important turns.
Aid stations are placed farther apart than on many events due to limited access. The event is cup-less; runners need a collapsible cup or bottle for aid stations. The organizer will donate 20 CAD from each registration to the Beaver Valley Bruce Trail Club. The race kit for 2026 includes a race shirt.
To protect the trails, entries are limited to 100 participants per distance. The organizer offers a race credit policy for cancellations up to 30 days before the event and allows bib transfers. Local partners will provide shoe demos and giveaways and will supply race gels with four listed ingredients.
