Falla Walla Half Marathon, 10K & Heroes 5K Run : Walla Walla, WA (October 3, 2026)
The event offers three distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- Heroes 5K (3.1 Miles)
The race starts at Walla Walla Community College on the east side of town and passes through a mix of surfaces and landscapes. Runners use asphalt nature paths, including the Mill Creek pathway, gravel service roads near Bennington Lake, and a section of chip sealed county road on the half marathon out-and-back. The route travels through open grasslands, wooded areas and farmland with views of the Blue Mountains, grapevines and fall foliage. The course is not flat and includes rolling hills with elevation gain on the outward sections and faster descents on later segments.
Event rules and facilities vary by distance. Strollers are permitted only in the Heroes 5K and must stay to the right on the pathway; dogs are not allowed. Aid stations supply water, Heed and gels. Finisher medals are provided; participants who register before September 7 will receive a race T-shirt while supplies and sizes last. Post-race offerings include snacks, music, an award ceremony, and a beer garden where participants 21 and older may receive one local craft beer.
The Heroes 5K is a memorial run. Proceeds will support local nursing student memorial funds and an EMS scholarship managed by the Walla Walla Community College Foundation and United Way of the Blue Mountains. No refunds and no deferrals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
