Onion Man Triathlon
The 31st Annual Onion Man Triathlon takes place on Sunday May 17, 2026 at Bennington Lake in Walla Walla, Washington. The Olympic distance format consists of a 1.5K lake swim, a 40K rolling bike, and a 10K run.

Event categories listed by the organizer include Individual Olympic Age Group, Olympic Relay two person, Olympic Relay three person, Special Teams, Athena and Clydesdale, and Aquabike. The race is limited to 300 participants.
The bike course follows Five Mile hill, continues down Russell Creek Road and back, includes a short out and back on Scenic Loop Road, and returns to Bennington Lake. The course will not pass through Walla Walla Community College; it will continue straight on Tausick Way and turn right onto E. Isaacs Ave. In accordance with USA Triathlon rules, bar end plugs are required on all bikes.
Registration includes a short sleeved T shirt for entries completed before April 29, a meal ticket for the post race meal, and one beer from Quirk Brewing served in a custom pint glass. A non participant beer add on is available for five dollars. There is no day of race registration, no wait list if the race fills, and no refunds transfers or deferrals.
The event is USA Triathlon sanctioned (Event ID #310427). USAT members must enter their membership number during registration and be prepared to show a valid membership card at packet pick up. All participants must show a picture ID. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
