About the race
The Fall Fun 5K and Trick or Treat Trot take place on October 31, 2026, at Creekside Plaza Fountain in Gahanna (117 Mill St, Gahanna, OH 43230). The event combines a professionally timed 5K race with a series of kids trotting races around the fountain and through Creekside Park.
The kids program begins with a short route around the Creekside Fountain for the youngest participants and a slightly longer course for elementary-aged children around Creekside Park. Instead of water stations, children encounter candy stations along the route and costumes are encouraged.
The 5K follows trails along Big Walnut Creek and is professionally timed. Every participant receives a race bib, an event T-shirt, and an official race time. Post-race activities at Creekside Plaza Fountain include music, awards, and a festive gathering.
Awards recognize the top three overall male and female finishers and the three best costumes. Registration fees listed are $40 for the 5K and $10 for the Trick or Treat Trot; registration opens July 21, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. The event is hosted by Three Creeks Church and 100% of proceeds support Design Outreach and other local and global nonprofit partners serving people in need.
