Event Overview
The Fall City Day Run is an annual event held in Fall City, Washington, located approximately 25 miles east of Seattle and 15 miles east of Redmond. The courses begin and end in the downtown area in front of the Farmhouse Market on SE Redmond-Fall City Road, near Olive Taylor Quigley Park. This event serves as a fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting the youth of the Snoqualmie Valley.
Distances and Course Details
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids 1K
The 10K and 5K courses follow country roads that cross the Snoqualmie River. Both routes are USATF certified and are described as flat. The races are chip timed by Peak Performance Timing using disposable chips placed on the back of the bibs. Water stations are positioned just before the turnaround points for both distances.
The Kids 1K is designated for children typically under 8 years of age. The route begins at the Farmhouse Market, crosses the bridge, circles the roundabout, and returns to the start line.
Event Logistics
Strollers and walkers are permitted on the course, but all participants must complete their distance by the time the roads reopen to vehicle traffic. Dogs are not allowed, with the exception of service animals. While there is no bag check station available, free parking is provided at Chief Kanim Middle School and local Fall City parks.
Following the races, refreshments such as bananas and bagels are provided at the finish line. An awards ceremony is held for the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K categories. Participants can also stay for the town parade and festival that take place after the sporting events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
