First Annual Fairy Stone 5K
The Friends of Fairy Stone State Park will hold the First Annual Fairy Stone 5K on October 3, 2026, at Fairy Stone State Park in Stuart, VA, at 967 Fairystone Lake Dr., 24171. The event features two categories: a 5K run/walk and a 5K ruck. The ruck requires a minimum carried weight of 25 pounds.
The course runs on paved park roads and includes rolling hills. Packet pickup and late registration take place in the park's upper beach parking lot on October 2 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and continue the morning of the event. A mobile coffee truck will be on site during race activities.
Registration details vary by event: registration opens in late July or early August depending on the category and closes on September 5. Entry fees are listed as $25 and $30 depending on registration timing, and entry is free for students from Pre K through college. Registering by September 5 guarantees a T-shirt.
Awards are planned for first, second, and third place overall male and female finishers and for first, second, and third place finishers by ten-year age groups.
