Fairfield Police Sunset 5K
The Fairfield Police Sunset 5K is a community fundraising event held at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut on July 15, 2026. The event offers a chip-timed 5K (3.1 miles) and a separate untimed 0.8 mile walk, both starting and finishing at Jennings Beach. The 5K is timed with a computer chipped bib and requires participants to complete the entire course to receive an official time; 5K finishers are eligible for awards while the untimed walk has no awards.
Event amenities include event t-shirts, post-event food and fluids for registered participants, a food truck area (spectators and non-registered guests may purchase separate food tickets), and adult beverages for those 21 and older with ID. The event has a 1000-person limit and states that registration fees are nonrefundable.
The event supports local causes: proceeds benefit the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund and the Fairfield Police Foundation. A sock donation drive will collect new white socks for Nourish Bridgeport. Early bib and shirt pickup is available on the days before the event and on race day at the registration tent at Jennings Beach.
