Fairchance Construction Octoberfest 5k Run/Walk and Beer Mile Relay
The Fairchance Construction Octoberfest event takes place in Uniontown and supports the Uniontown Area Track and Field programs. This multi-sport gathering features a variety of running and walking events centered around a festive theme.
Participants can choose from several event options:
- Octoberfest 5k Run
- Octoberfest 5K Walk
- Mom Maruca Beer Mile
- Beer Mile Relay
- Kids Root Beer Run
- Corporate Beer Mile Relay
- 5K Then Chug-5K+Beer Mile Combo
The Beer Mile events are restricted to participants aged 21 and older, with proper identification required. For those participating in the full Beer Mile, a designated driver is mandatory. The relay version involves four legs of 1/4 mile each. Laurel Highlands Brewing provides an exclusive beverage for these specific events.
The Kids Root Beer Run is a 1/2 mile event designed for participants aged 14 and under, where finishers receive a souvenir root beer mug. For the 5k participants, awards are presented to top runners and various age groups. A special prize is also designated for the best Bavarian or Octoberfest costume.
Parking is available at Bailey Park and the New South Union Rec Center on Pennsylvania Avenue. The first 200 entrants receive a high-quality beer glass, and t-shirts are provided to those who register by the guaranteed deadline in late September.
