Fairchance Construction Octoberfest 5k Run/Walk and Mom Maruca's Beer Mile & Beer Mile Relay
This event takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The net proceeds benefit the Uniontown Area High School Track and Field team.
Several events are scheduled:
- Octoberfest 5k Run
- Octoberfest 5k Walk
- Mom Maruca Beer Mile (participants must be 21+)
- Beer Mile Relay (teams of four, participants must be 21+)
- Kids Root Beer Run (a half-mile event for ages 14 and under, with a souvenir root beer mug)
- Corporate Beer Mile Relay
- 5K Then Chug-5K+Beer Mile Combo
Awards are given for top runners and age groups in the 5k Run and Walk. Top three male and female finishers in the Beer Mile and top three relay teams also receive awards. A prize is offered for the best Bavarian/Octoberfest costume.
T-shirts are guaranteed for signups by September 26. A high-quality beer glass is given to the first 200 entrants. One pour of a special "Beer Mile Blonde" beer from Laurel Highlands Brewing is available to participants over 21.
Packet pickup and registration begins at 7:30 AM. Parking is available at the New South Union Rec Center and Bailey Park. Early packet pickup is available on Friday evening at Mom Marucas, which will have food specials and live music. A hotel room race rate is available at the Hilton Garden Inn Uniontown.
