Fairchance Construction Octoberfest 5k Run/Walk and Mom Maruca's Beer Mile
The event takes place on 10/03/2026 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania at 64 Barton Mill Road. It combines a community 5K run and walk with several running events that incorporate beer and a root beer run for children.
Distances include:
- 5K
- 1 mile for the Beer Mile and related relays
- 4 miles for the 5K plus Beer Mile combo
- 1/2 mile for the Kids Root Beer Run
Age and entry notes: Beer Mile participants must be 21 years old and present proper ID. Those completing the full Beer Mile are required to have a confirmed designated driver; relay participants do not require a designated driver. Corporate teams must field four members for the corporate relay and will be recognized separately.
Awards and extras: The 5K awards top runners and age group placings. The Beer Mile recognizes the top three male and female finishers and the top three relay teams. Additional items include a prize for best Bavarian or Octoberfest costume, a hi quality beer glass for the first 200 entrants, and a special Beer Mile Blonde created by Laurel Highlands Brewing. T shirts are guaranteed for entries completed by September 26. Parking is available at the New South Union Rec Center, Bailey Park, and the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
