About the race
The Faculty of Health Fun Run is an annual event at the University of Waterloo held on the day of Homecoming, taking place in 2026 on Saturday, September 19. The event is open to faculty, staff, alumni, students, families with strollers and community members of all ages, and is described as fully accessible.
Participants may complete one of two distances:
- 2.5 km
- 5 km
The program includes music, games and an official warm up. Costumes are permitted and may be eligible for prizes. The event uses bib tag technology and posts race results online as part of an official race in the running community. Registrations include a Fun Run t-shirt and a finisher prize; fees listed for 2026 include a UWaterloo student rate, a general registration rate, a child rate for under 12, and free entry for children in strollers. Promo codes were made available for certain university groups.
