FACTS 5K 2026

FACTS 5K is a fundraising run and walk held at FDR Park in Philadelphia, organized to support FACTS school activities, programs, and equipment. Funds raised support items and activities such as new lion heads for celebrations, additional chromebooks and scientific calculators, visiting storytellers, books that reflect diverse histories and experiences, and new music room instruments.

The event includes multiple distance options and a short kids dash. Medals are awarded to the top five kid finishers and the top five adult finishers. Prizes are also awarded in several categories, including the team with the largest number of participants, best costume, youngest participant, and school spirit.

Race logistics and participant rules include the following points: each participant receives a race bib with a unique number that must be pinned to the front of the shirt; bibs will not be reissued if lost. Runners who plan to complete the full 5K should line up near the front; walkers should line up toward the back. Strollers are welcome but should line up behind runners and walkers. Bicycles and scooters are not permitted; staff on bikes will provide race-day security. Dogs are not allowed. Water will be available during and after the event; fresh fruit and snacks will be offered near the finish. Students must be accompanied by an adult. The course for the full 5K consists of two loops.
