Eye of the Dragon 10K & Tail of the Lizard 2 Mile
The event takes place on February 14, 2027 at the Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Ave, Melbourne, Florida. It is presented by Power of Pizza Charities and benefits the SCR Christian Lake Memorial Student Scholarship Fund. This is the 39th running of the Space Coast Runners road race.
The program includes certified road courses with out-and-back sections over the Eau Gallie Causeway and the Indian River. Multiple options are offered, including virtual entries and a combined challenge that links the 10K and 2 Mile distances.

- 10K (certified road race)
- 2 Mile (Tail of the Lizard)
- Slay the Beast Challenge : combined 8.2 miles
- Virtual 10K and virtual 2 Mile options
Key event details include a participant limit of 475, guaranteed dragon race shirt for paid early registration, dragon dance pre-race, and post-race refreshments. The event is rain or shine; no refunds are issued and no dogs are allowed. Early registration closes January 31, 2027; later registrations incur higher fees.
