Eyam Half Marathon
The Eyam Half Marathon is a challenging and scenic road race held in the historic village of Eyam, located in Hope Valley, within the Peak District. Covering the half marathon distance of 13.1 miles, the course features over 1,500 feet of ascent, rewarding runners with stunning views across five counties. The route begins with a steep climb of over 400 feet in the first two miles, followed by a more level stretch through the hamlets of Bretton and Abney.
Runners then experience an 800-foot descent towards Hathersage before facing a tough 800-foot climb and a final descent back into Eyam. The event also offers 50 places for walkers. Participants can choose between a finisher’s T-shirt or having a tree planted in their name. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
