Event overview
The Eyam Half Marathon is a road race held in Eyam, Hope Valley (S32 5QW). The first race was held in 1993. The main event covers 13.1 miles and includes over 1,500 ft of ascent with views across five counties. The course starts and finishes in Eyam and passes through the hamlets of Bretton and Abney and the area near Hathersage. The event minimum age for the main race is 18 or older. Finishers can choose between receiving an Eyam Half Marathon T shirt or having a tree planted.
Course and entries
The course profile includes a climb of over 400 ft in the first two miles, a level section over the next three miles, an approximately 800 ft descent over about 4.5 miles, an approximately 800 ft climb over two miles, and a final 400 ft descent back into Eyam. Entry fees listed for the main race are £25 for non-members and £23 for UKA members; walkers are charged £15. Entries open 6 June 2025 and close 16 May 2026.
