Expo Park XC Run
Expo Park XC Run brings a set of youth and adult cross-country races at South Moline St and East Exposition Ave., Aurora, Colorado. Races use grassy terrain with generally flat sections, small undulations, a small creek crossing, and several bale jumps.
Distances offered include:
- 5 km open to all ages.
- 3 km for 10&u, typically for 9 and 10 year olds.
- 3 km for 12&u, typically for 11 and 12 year olds.
- 4 km 14&u for 13 and 14 year olds.
- 2 km 8&u single loop for children 8 and under.
Course format uses a 1 km loop and a 2 km loop. The 3 km and 5 km races begin with a 1 km loop followed by 2 km loop(s). The 4 km race completes the 2 km loop twice. The 2 km race and the youngest category races use a single 2 km loop. Some youth races are combined gender; certain age categories may be split into separate boys and girls races if entries allow.
