Event Overview

The EXPO 10K and 5K takes place in Knoxville, Tennessee. It is described as Knoxville's oldest and most beloved community running event, with the 2026 edition marking its 49th annual running. The event celebrates family participation with unique categories including mother/son, mother/daughter, father/son, father/daughter, husband/wife, husband/husband, wife/wife, and three generations.

Distances

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • Kids 1 Mile Run
  • 5K (USATF certified course)
  • 10K (USATF certified course)

A virtual 5K option is also available for those who cannot or prefer not to attend in person.

Event Details

All participants registered before a specified date in May are guaranteed a high-quality, soft-feel, unisex t-shirt. After the race, snacks, Gatorade, and water are provided. Results are available via text notification or online, along with complimentary downloadable race photos. Awards for the 5K and 10K are presented at separate ceremonies.
