Event overview
EXCLAMATION 5.0 is a Last Runner Standing event held in Roxton, Texas on June 6, 2026. The event uses a repeating out-and-back loop format in which each loop, called an Exclamation, is 5 miles. New Exclamations begin every hour and attempts continue until one runner remains. The event name and course layout are based on an exclamation mark, with the start and finish located at the dot.
Course, rules, and logistics
The start and finish are at the Chaparral Museum, across from the Roxton Community Center at 104 Harrison Ave., Roxton, TX 75477. The course is a 5-mile out-and-back repeated each hour. No aid is allowed while on an Exclamation; assistance is permitted only at the start/finish area. Runners must sign a liability waiver before participating. Quiet hours are enforced at night.
Aid stations will offer limited items such as water, soda, electrolyte product, chips, candy, and fruit; runners are advised to bring their own fuel and hydration. Restrooms are available at the museum/start/finish. Pacers, crew, family, and pets are allowed but must follow event rules and may not provide mid-loop assistance. The nearest larger towns are over 20 minutes away; a restaurant and grocery store are located across the street from the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
