Leeds 5K (May 2026) : Event overview
The Leeds 5K is a monthly, traffic-free road race held at the University of Leeds Brownlee Centre, Bodington Playing Fields, Leeds LS16 8NA. The event distance is 5 km, run over three laps on a flat road course. The races are chip-timed; results are sent by text at the finish and mile splits are published the following day. The event is suitable for wheelchairs. Entry is limited to 200 runners; 199 places remained at the time of listing.
Entry, fees and facilities
Entry options include single race entries and a multi-race pass for May to November. Prices listed are:
- Leeds single race entry affiliated: £10.00
- Leeds single race entry unaffiliated: £12.00
- Leeds Race Pass (May-Nov) affiliated: £52.00
- Leeds Race Pass (May-Nov) unaffiliated: £63.00
Online entry closes at 10:00 on race day and entry on the day is not available. Entrants may defer a place once to the next race in the calendar year if requested at least three days before race day. Refunds are not provided and places cannot be transferred. First-time entrants receive a race number with an embedded timing chip usable at Leeds and York 5K events; one free number replacement is allowed in a 12-month period, subsequent replacements cost £4. Facilities include water stations, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage store. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
