Evansburg Challenge - 14K and 6.5K Trail Races
The Evansburg Challenge is a fall trail event held at Evansburg State Park in Collegeville, PA, on October 11, 2026. The event offers two measured trail distances and takes place on generally flat, runnable trails that can be muddy at times. The course features small dips and rises but no sustained climbs, and it is described by the organizer as fairly wide and easy to follow with early-fall foliage.
Distances:
- 14K Trail Race : 3 water stops; scores series points.
- 6.5K Trail Race/Walk : 1 water stop; awards available.
Amenities and race procedures include a well-marked course, modern bathrooms, a covered pavilion, digital clock at the finish, post-race food, and nearby parking. The 14K is part of the USA Track & Field Mid-Atlantic Off-Road Series, and only finishers of the 14K earn series points. There is an aid cutoff: participants who have not reached the 6.5K point within one hour must finish the shorter course for safety. Entry is by online registration through the organizer’s registration system, with limited on-site registration accepted only by cash or check. No refunds; shirts and awards are not mailed. The course length was verified with a calibrated bike odometer rather than GPS devices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
