About the race
This is a free community run at Alton Baker Park in Eugene, Oregon, on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The event serves as the local kickoff for a nationwide 50K x 50 states x 50 days challenge to raise funds for Make-A-Wish.
Organizers describe an informal community run and walk presented as a 5K kickoff; participants may choose their own distance. The event is open to walkers and runners and is framed as a community send-off for the larger multi-state run.
