Etowah River Park Summer Classic - 5K / 10K
The event is a road race at Etowah River Park in Canton, Georgia, featuring two distances:
- 5K - 3.1 Miles
- 10K - 6.2 Miles
The race is hosted by Cherokee Run Club on a USTF certified course (5K: GA18105WC; 10K: GA23084WC). The event uses RFID timing provided by Performance Race Services, with live results available shortly after finish. Free professional photography by True Speed Photos is included with registration.
The 10K includes a club and team competition. Teams must register under a club or team name and have a minimum of ten members to be eligible for scoring. The top five finishers from each team are scored to determine team rankings. Team and individual awards are part of the event structure.
Prize purses for the 10K include cash awards for the top three male and female finishers and cash prizes for the top three teams. Fleet Feet Canton is offering shoe vouchers for overall winners and podium finishers in both distances; vouchers are redeemable at Fleet Feet locations in Canton, Decatur, or Peachtree Corners.
Early packet pickup is available on specified days at Etowah River Park Amphitheater and at Fleet Feet Canton (1431 Riverstone Pkwy #100). To guarantee a race t-shirt, participants must register and select a shirt size by July 12; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt.
