Etowah River Park Summer Classic - 5k/10k
The event is a running race held at Etowah River Park in Canton, Georgia on August 8, 2026. It offers two distances:
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
- 10 km (6.2 miles)
Both courses are USATF certified, 5K course number GA18105WC and 10K course number GA23084WC. The 10K includes a club and team competition: teams must register under a club or team name, have at least ten members to be eligible for scoring, and use the top five finishers from each team to determine team standings. A prize purse is listed for the 10K overall top three male and female finishers and for top teams; additional awards are planned for teams with the most registrations.
Timing is provided with RFID chip timing by Performance Race Services and live results are expected shortly after finish. Race registration fees are listed as $36.00 for the 5K and $40.00 for the 10K. To guarantee a race T-shirt, participants must register and select a shirt size by July 9. Early packet pickup is scheduled at the Etowah River Park Amphitheater on August 5 and at Fleet Feet Canton on August 6. Race day packet pickup will also be available near the stage.
