Event overview

The Eternal Winter 6-Hour Run takes place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Annapolis, Maryland. The event is a twin to the Annapolis Striders Endless Summer 6-Hour Run and is held to benefit the Annapolis Light House Shelter of Maryland. Organizers describe it as a low-key, self-supported "fat-ass" style event with no entry fee; a donation to the shelter is required to register. The listed location is Greenbury Point Nature Center, 265 Bullard Boulevard, Annapolis, MD 21402.

Course

The event uses a 2.5 mile loop of dirt and paved trails at Greenbury Point Nature Center. The course begins in front of the Nature Center on Bullard Boulevard, enters the trail behind the center, follows a route that includes Bullard Boulevard, Hooper High Road, Beach Road out to the Severn River, and a return on the dirt trail to complete the loop. Signs direct participants at turns on the loop. Copies of the map will not be available at check-in; participants should obtain and print the map in advance if needed.

Registration and support

Registration is race-day only and has two parts: a completed registration form must be brought to the event, and a donation is required. The stated donation requirement is a $25 contribution payable to The Light House and/or at least five urgent-needs items for the shelter. Organizers note limited formal support on course and advise that participants should expect a self-supported experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
