Eternal Rest 5k Run/Walk
The Eternal Rest 5k Run/Walk takes place on October 24, 2026 at Wilmington & Brandywine Cemetery, 701 Delaware Ave, Wilmington, DE 19801. The event is organized as a community 5 km running and walking event hosted at the cemetery grounds.
The program includes a standard 5 km run/walk and a COMPETITIVE WALKING 5 km category. The competitive walking category requires participants to walk the entire course; running or jogging is not permitted in that category. Online registration is the primary method; cash or check payments are accepted in person.
Registration pricing listed on the event page shows $39.03 for regular registration and a $40 day-of price. Bibs are non-transferable and registrations are non-refundable. Dogs are not allowed on the course due to insurance liability.
R2R Timing will use the MYLAPS BibTag timing system. Overall and masters top finisher awards are scored by gun time, and other age group awards are scored by chip net time. Awards include top overall male and female, top male and female masters, top three male and female in 10-year age groups from 13 & under through 80 & over, and awards for top three male and female walkers. Results will be posted online during the event with complete results published afterward. Event photos will be posted on the organizer's Facebook page following the race.
