Estes Park's Backyard Ultra is a looped ultrarunning event held at Lake Estes in Estes Park, Colorado, with the venue located at 380 Community Dr. The format requires runners to complete one lap every hour until a single runner completes a lap and is declared the winner; all other entrants are recorded as DNF when they stop.
Each lap at this venue measures 4.252 miles with approximately 150 feet of climb per lap. The course follows a paved bike trail, is run clockwise initially, and changes direction every 12 hours. Course high elevation is approximately 7,522 feet.
