Estes Park Marathon and related events
The Estes Park event complex in Estes Park, Colorado includes multiple road and trail races held around the Dao House start area and Estes Park High School. Race options on the weekend include:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- Longs Peak 5K
- Longs Peak 5 Miler
- Estes Trail Descent (7.75 miles)
- Kids run races and a family festival
Transportation to the Dao House start area is provided by Rocky Mountain Transit buses for marathon and half marathon participants; private vehicles are not allowed onto Dao House property. Aid and water stations are provided approximately every 2 miles; beginning at mile 6 aid stations offer gels, Gatorade, and water while water stations offer water and Gatorade. Porta potties are available at the Dao House and at all aid stations; public restrooms are located around Lake Estes Trail.
Finishers receive medals for marathon, half marathon, and 5K events; marathon finishers also receive emailed finisher certificates. Age group awards are offered for standard age brackets and an overall masters category for ages 40 and older.
The Estes Trail Descent is a point to point trail course with single track, dirt road and cement sections, and is capped at 40 entries. The half marathon is part of the Colorado Mountain Half Marathon Series. Packet pickup and race weekend services are centered at the Estes Park High School commons.
