Estes Park Marathon & Half Marathon 2027

The event takes place in Estes Park, Colorado, with race activities centered at Estes Park High School and start lines at the Dao House. It is scheduled across June 19 and June 20, 2027 and includes in-person and virtual options.

Course notes: the marathon and half marathon feature a downhill start that descends about 1,500 ft within the first 6.5 miles on a mix of dirt single track and paved or packed surfaces. The half flows onto the Lake Estes Trail. The marathon route includes Lake Estes Trail and the Dry Gulch/Devil's Gulch loop and passes the Stanley Hotel. Aid stations and water stations are placed approximately every two miles and provide water, Gatorade, and gels. Porta potties are available at the start and at aid stations.

Logistics and services: shuttle buses run from the high school to the Dao House start area; no return transport to the start is provided. There is no official gear drop at the start; items left at the start are transferred to the finish. The Estes Trail Descent has limited entries and requires a separate Rocky Mountain National Park day pass.
