Escape the Elves 5K
The Escape the Elves 5K is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Oakwood, Georgia. The event is hosted by South Hall Rotary and will use the Oakwood Community Center as the race site. Event options listed by the organizer include a 5K Run/Walk, a Fun Run, and a Virtual Runner entry.
Details and awards
The 5K course is USATF certified and begins at the Oakwood Community Center. Packet pick-up is available on December 11 and December 12 at a Flowery Branch address provided by the organizers. Entry fees shown by the organizer are $35 for the 5K Run/Walk, $20 for the Fun Run, and $30 for the Virtual Runner; the 5K and Fun Run fees increase after December 12, 2025. Registration for the virtual option is noted to end on December 13, 2025. Race shirts are only guaranteed for registrations completed by December 5.
Awards will be given for Top Overall Male and Female and for the top two male and female finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Proceeds benefit several local and international causes, including the South Hall Food Pantry and multiple education and relief funds.
