ESC Hero Run - Edwardsburg, MI
The ESC Hero Run is a community running event held at the Edwardsburg Sports Complex in Edwardsburg, Michigan. The event honors veterans, active duty military, and public servants, and serves as a fundraiser for the Edwardsburg Sports Complex. A portion of proceeds will be given to the local Veterans Helping Veterans organization of the VFW.
The program includes a 5K course that begins at the Edwardsburg Sports Complex, runs through a portion of the village of Edwardsburg, and returns to the complex. A 2K Run/Walk provides a shorter option for families and others who wish to participate.
Before the runs, heroes are recognized with a special t-shirt and certificate. Local police and fire departments bring a police car and a fire engine for children to see. Participants in all age categories, including children, are eligible for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals for men and women; additional prizes will be awarded. Snacks are provided on site.
