ESC Hero Run
The ESC Hero Run takes place on May 23, 2026 at the Edwardsburg Sports Complex in Edwardsburg, Michigan. The event is a fundraiser for Veterans Helping Veterans and the Edwardsburg Sports Complex, both organized as not for profit.
Race options include:
- 5K
- 2K
The 5K starts at the Edwardsburg Sports Complex, runs through a portion of the village of Edwardsburg, and finishes at the complex. The 2K is offered as a run or walk and is described as suitable for families, children, and adults who prefer a shorter course.
Registration details vary by category. Regular entry fees are $35.00. A reduced registration fee of $15.00 is available for students, veterans, active duty military, and public servants. Children 12 and under may register for the 2K or 5K at no charge. Registration opens January 31, 2026; most registrations close May 4, 2026, while some youth categories close May 21, 2026.
Before the event there will be recognition of veterans, active duty military, and public servants with a special t-shirt and a certificate. Local police and fire departments will display a police car and a fire engine for children. Awards include first through third place medals for men and women in all age categories, including children. Snacks will be provided.
