The entry fee is $100 and the race is open to ages 18 and older. The event has a participant cap of 2000 and is organized by volunteers. There are no refunds, deferrals, or transfers. Course and logistics

All race activity is centered at the Erie Runners Club Beach 1 Pavilion on Presque Isle State Park, which serves as the start and finish. Parking is at Waldameer Park or the Ridge Center and all participants and spectators must walk about 0.6 miles to the start. Spectators are not permitted on roadways and may be fined by the park for roadway presence. There are no food vendors or drink machines inside the park; spectators should bring their own provisions. Water stations provide water and lemon-lime Gatorade about every mile, with a porta-potty near each stop. The surface is mostly asphalt with roughly one third concrete; grass borders are available alongside much of the paved course. Total elevation change for the marathon is less than 250 feet. There is a six-hour time limit and participants not maintaining a 14-minute per mile pace must finish on the all-purpose trail; park rangers may require earlier diversion to that trail. Event insurance is offered and charged separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
