Epney Trail Run
The Epney Trail Run is a small-scale community trail race in the village of Epney, Gloucestershire. The route is a circular course that starts and finishes near The Anchor Inn and covers approximately 10 miles (16 km) with around 70 m of elevation gain.
The course follows the Gloucester to Sharpness Canal towpath, local public footpaths and sections of the Severn Way. Terrain is predominantly flat and off road, with a mix of towpath and trail surfaces. Underfoot conditions may vary with weather and can include uneven or muddy sections. A GPX file of the route will be provided in advance.
The event will be marshalled at key points and provides one aid station approximately halfway. First aid provision will be available, and there is a final cut-off of three hours. Participants remain responsible for their own safety, must follow organiser and marshal instructions, and should show consideration to other path users as the route remains open to the public.
The event will be licensed by the Trail Running Association and held in accordance with UK Athletics rules. The minimum age to enter is 17 years on the day. Entry fees are listed and include an early bird discount for the first 20 entries; at least £3 from every entry supports the Canal & River Trust.
