2026 EOD Warrior 5k & Half - Georgetown
The event takes place on June 14, 2026, with race locations in Georgetown and at Fletcher’s Boathouse. Distances offered:
- 5k - out-and-back on the C&O Canal path; flat, light gravel.
- Half Marathon - out-and-back along the C&O Canal path; light gravel, minimal elevation.
The half marathon starts and finishes in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5k starts and finishes at Fletcher’s Boathouse. The event offers a virtual race option for those who cannot attend in person.
Race details and services
The event is chip timed and provides a finisher’s medal and technical (Dri-FIT) event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before June 3. The half marathon has seven water stations at approximate mile markers 1.55, 3.8, 4.3, 6.55, 8.8, 9.3 and 11.55; the 5k has one water station at about mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. The half marathon has a completion time limit of 3:15.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd place in standard age categories from 19 & under through 70+. Live race results will be posted online and via an on-site QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Packet pickup is available at the event; there will be no on-site race registration. The race partners with the EOD Warrior Foundation.
