Network Rail Marathon Relay : 5 June 2026
The Network Rail Marathon Relay is a team marathon relay held at Premier Inn, Lakeside Grove, Caldecotte, Milton Keynes, MK7 8HP. The event takes place around Caldecotte Lake and uses a lap-based course that is available for download to Garmin devices.
The relay uses a sequence of laps around the lake described as 7½ scenic laps. The lap structure is:
- 0.65 miles short lap
- 3.65 miles standard lap, repeated seven times
Entry is by relay team. Teams may include two to seven runners and the entry fee is £112. There is a maximum of 20 teams and a six hour time limit for the event. Registration materials include a route description given at the location. Mandatory race briefings are held ten minutes before the race.
Race support includes a starter, a timekeeper and a race referee. A large pub car park is available and water, nibbles and an aid station are provided every lap of the lake course. All relay runners receive a bespoke medal. Participants must be 18 years or over on the day, declare they are medically fit to compete and accept the risks of participation; liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
