Event
The English Riviera Triathlon is organised by Sportiva Events and takes place on 5 July 2026 at The Kings Drive, Torquay, Devon, TQ2 5JE. The event includes multiple race formats on the same day and is British Triathlon registered. The bike course is a relatively flat 5 kilometre closed road lap.
Races and distances
- Standard Triathlon - 1500 m swim; 40K bike (8 x 5K); 10K run.
- Sprint Triathlon - 750 m swim; 20K bike (4 x 5K); 5K run.
- Sprint Aquabike - 750 m swim; 20K bike.
- Sprint Aquathlon - 750 m swim; 5K run.
- Supersprint Triathlon - 300 m swim; 10K bike; 2.5K run.
- Tristar 2 or 3 - 300 m swim; 5K bike; 2K or 2.5K run.
- Sprint Triathlon Relay - 750 m swim; 20K bike (4 x 5K); 5K run.
Entry, rules and services
Age limits vary by race: Tristar entries are for ages 11 to 14 on 31/12/2026; Standard triathlon entries require age 17 or over on 31/12/2026; several sprint events require age 15 or over on 31/12/2026. For 2026, the Sprint distance and the sprint aquabike are run as drafting races; the Standard distance remains non-drafting. The event offers professional chip timing, medals for all finishers, silicone swim hats, an English Riviera t-shirt or beanie, professional first aid and water safety, a fully marked and marshalled course, feed stations, and water and energy drinks served in biodegradable paper cups.
