English Riviera Triathlon

The English Riviera Triathlon takes place on 5 July 2026 at The Kings Drive, Torquay, Devon. The event is organised by Sportiva Events and includes multiple race formats on the same day, including standard, sprint, supersprint, aquabike, aquathlon, Tristar 2 and 3, and relay options.

For 2026 the sprint distance and the sprint aquabike are set to be run as drafting races. The Standard Distance remains non drafting. The bike course is a relatively flat 5 kilometre closed road lap; competitors complete eight laps for the Standard distance or four laps for the Sprint distance.

Distances by race:

• Standard Triathlon: 1500 m swim, 40K bike (8 x 5K laps), 10K run
• Sprint Triathlon: 750 m swim, 20K bike (4 x 5K laps), 5K run
• Supersprint Triathlon: 300 m swim, 10K bike, 2.5K run
• Tristar 2 or 3: 300 m swim, 5K bike, 2K or 2.5K run
• Sprint Aquabike: 750 m swim, 20K bike
• Sprint Aquathlon: 750 m swim, 5K run
• Relay options match Sprint and Standard distances

Event services and safety provisions include professional chip timing, medals for finishers, silicone swim hats, professional first aid and water safety, public liability insurance, a fully marked and marshalled course, feed stations, and water and energy drinks served in biodegradable paper cups.
