Course and race format
The bike course is a relatively flat, closed road lap of 5 km. The Standard distance requires eight laps of this lap and the Sprint distance requires four laps. For 2026 the Sprint distance will be run as a drafting race. The Sprint aquabike is also a drafting race. The Standard Distance will remain non-drafting.
Race services and safety
The event uses professional chip timing and awards medals to all finishers. Participants receive silicone swim hats and an English Riviera t-shirt or beanie hat. There is professional first aid and water safety on site. The course is fully marked and marshalled. Water and energy drinks are provided to all finishers in biodegradable paper cups, and there are feed stations. The event carries public liability insurance and is British Triathlon Registered.
