Englewood Festival 5K Classic
The Englewood Festival 5K Classic takes place on August 8, 2026, at Kindred Funeral Home, 400 Union Blvd., Englewood, Ohio, with race activities located across from Centennial Park. The race follows Union Blvd. near Overla Blvd. and finishes on the festival parade route.
The course is a certified 5K (OH03019PR). It runs through a residential area, is described as flat and fast, has mainly right turns, and includes one incline followed by a small downhill. Traffic is controlled at major intersections, but runners should remain alert to traffic.
Entry options include shirt or no-shirt pricing. Listed fees are $25 for ages 17 and older with shirt, $20 for ages 16 and under with shirt, and $15 for no shirt. Entrants wanting shirts must register on or before July 27 to receive them. Registrations after July 27 are listed at $17 with no shirt. Extra shirts may be offered on race day for $15 while supplies last.
Parking is provided in the north field near the Centennial Park tennis courts; parking in the funeral home lot is not allowed. Awards include a $40 Kroger Market Place gift card for the overall winner, exhibitor gift certificates of $20, $15 and $10 for the top three men and women, and gold, silver and bronze medals by age group. Winners must be present to receive exhibitor gift certificates. The awards ceremony is held immediately following the race in the Kindred Funeral Home parking lot.
Race rules specify no dogs, no skaters, and no bikes. Walkers participate at their own risk. The Arts Festival at Centennial Park runs during the weekend with free festival parking and admission. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
