Event Format
ENDURE – Last Man Standing is an endurance running event on Long Island using a Last Man Standing format. Runners complete a fixed loop every hour, on the hour. Finishing the loop within the hour allows a runner to start the next loop. If a runner misses the cutoff or decides to stop, their race ends. The event continues until only one runner remains or until the event time window concludes. The time cutoff is lowered every few hours.
Course and Facilities
The course will use designated trails and/or roads within a park, with a centralized start and finish area and an aid station. Exact venue and course details will be confirmed after park permits are finalized.
The event features a central hub area. When a runner's race ends, they move to this hub to refuel, rest, and socialize. The hub includes food, hydration, recovery space, ice baths, low-key music, and simple games. The environment is designed for participants to support those still running.
Participation
The event is open to both experienced endurance runners and those trying something new. The format is self-paced. Participants are not required to know how long they will last before starting. Each hour presents a new decision to continue or stop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
