Exmoor Coastal Trail Run
The event takes place in Martinhoe in Exmoor National Park on 8 May 2027. It offers multiple trail distances across varied terrain including open moorland, wooded combes, cliffs, rivers and a stretch of coastline. Surface types noted for the event include grass, rock and forest and the course features steep climbs and long descents.
Distances and approximate metrics for each category:
- 10K: 6.3 mi, ascent 1,480 ft.
- Half Marathon: 13.3 mi, ascent 2,822 ft.
- Marathon: 26.5 mi, ascent 6,070 ft.
- Ultra: 31.8 mi, ascent 6,785 ft.
Record times are listed for each distance for male and female categories. The course is widely regarded as the toughest course in The Series and is described as a gruelling test of endurance.
This event is part of the Endurancelife 2026-27 trail running season. Runners who complete any distance will be awarded points and listed on the Season Leader Board; points contribute to an overall season score based on performance.
Registered participants will be asked to check in online approximately two weeks before the event, confirm personal details including an ICE contact, and watch a mandatory event safety video.
