Event
The Peace Officer Memorial Endurance Ruck is the 5th annual edition, scheduled for May 16, 2026. The event takes place at Harbour Shores Church, E 216th St, Cicero, IN.
Course and formats
The course is a 1-mile loop that is mostly unpaved and allows participants to pass through the Start/Finish area repeatedly. The event uses this loop for both the endurance format and a separate 5k Trail Ruck. The 5k Trail Ruck requires completing three 1-mile laps, which is just under 5k. The endurance format includes a timed "4 Hour Ruck" on a closed course. Participants are expected to bring their own rucksack loaded with 10% of their body weight. Each registrant is allocated a space to set up a canopy or chairs and to store coolers and other items. The event includes participants as young as 5 years old.
