Peace Officer Memorial Endurance Ruck
The Peace Officer Memorial Endurance Ruck is the fifth annual event held at Harbour Shores Church in Cicero, Indiana on May 16, 2026. The event uses a mostly unpaved, one mile loop course that allows participants to pass the Start/Finish area repeatedly on a closed course.
Registration offers two event options:
- 4 Hour Ruck: total distance covered in four hours on a closed course.
- 5k Trail Ruck: three one mile laps, just under 5k, on the same mostly unpaved course.
Participants are expected to bring their own rucksack loaded with ten percent of their body weight to carry for the duration of the chosen event. The endurance format provides each registrant a personal space to set up a canopy or chairs and to store coolers and other items. The event is presented for a wide age range of participants, with numerous attendees as young as five years old. The course surface and loop format support repeated laps and on-course rest as needed.
