Peace Officer Memorial Endurance Ruck
The Peace Officer Memorial Endurance Ruck is the fifth annual rucking event held at Harbour Shores Church in Cicero, Indiana. The event uses a mostly unpaved, one mile loop course that allows participants to pass the start and finish area repeatedly as they complete laps.
There are two event options. The endurance option records total distance covered on a closed course during a four hour period. The 5k Trail Ruck uses the same one mile loop and requires three one mile laps, for a distance just under five kilometers. All participants are expected to bring their own rucksack loaded to ten percent of their body weight for the duration of their chosen event.
The format provides a dedicated space for each registrant to set up a canopy or chairs and to store coolers and personal items. The event is presented for a wide age range, with participants as young as five and attendees across various fitness levels. Registration fees vary by event and by registration period, with early and late pricing windows applied. Local sponsors support the event.
