The 2026 Prairie Dash 5K is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Conner Prairie in Fishers, IN (13408 Allisonville Rd). This is the fourth annual running of the Prairie Dash. The event is a 5-kilometre run/walk that travels through the grounds of Conner Prairie. The run benefits the Lawrence Township School Foundation and the Hamilton Southeastern Education Foundation. Families and community members are invited to participate.
Logistics and policies
The registration fee is $25 per participant and includes a race tee, a timed racing bib, and a finisher medal. Registration opens December 1, 2025; available spots were listed as 1,050 at the time of posting. Shirts are guaranteed for those who register by April 30; shirt sizing may be limited beginning May 1. A pre-race email will be sent to registrants on Wednesday, May 13; participants with pre-assigned bibs will have bibs and shirts delivered to their chosen school, while others will pick up bibs and shirts at the race. Parking on race day is free at Conner Prairie. Dogs are not allowed in the race. In the event of severe weather or lightning, the race may be delayed up to 30 minutes; if severe weather continues, Conner Prairie may cancel the event and no refunds will be provided.
