The Empower Walk + 5K Run is a fundraising event presented by Autism Speaks at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. The 5K run has a registration fee that starts at $35 and increases to $45 one month before the event; registered runners receive a finisher medal and bib, and can earn a T-shirt by raising $75 including the registration fee. All ages may join the 5K run, but those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The campaign reports $124,800 raised toward a $265,000 goal. Donations and registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
