Emerson the Brave Stampede: 5K Fun Run and Color Run
The 9th Annual Emerson the Brave Stampede is a community running event held at Great Lakes Elementary School in Holland, MI on 09/20/2026. The event raises funds and awareness for DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), DMG (diffuse midline glioma) and other pediatric brain cancers in honor of a child who battled these conditions. Organizers are partnered with families and the ChadTough Defeat DIPG Foundation to support research funded largely by private donations.

There are multiple entry options with different fees and inclusions. Two 5K options note that they may or may not be timed; both 5K entries include a finisher medal, while one 5K option includes a race day t shirt and the other does not.
