Ely 115 Squadron Duathlon 2027
The Ely 115 Squadron Duathlon takes place on Sunday 21st March 2027 with Race HQ at Lancaster Way Business Park, Ely. The event combines two runs with a central bike leg on largely flat terrain and low elevation.
The run course is an out-and-back road and trail route of 4 km that crosses a disused World War Two airfield once home to Stirling III and Lancaster bombers of 115 Squadron. The second run uses the same route as the first. The bike course covers 26 km, briefly turns onto the A10 and then continues across the fens through the villages of Little Downham and Coveney.
Course characteristics include generally flat profiles and limited elevation change. Given the fenland setting, windy conditions are likely. Marshals and event organisation are described as present on course.
