Event Overview

The Elm Street Athletic Festival is an event taking place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in Greensboro, North Carolina. The start and finish location is Historic Elm Street in Downtown Greensboro at 332 S Elm St.

Events and Activities

The festival offers several events. The main events include a 10-mile run described as a "grand tour" of the city's central boulevard and surrounding neighborhoods, a 5k run, a 1-mile youth run for participants aged 1 to 19, and a 1-mile Brain Tumor Survivors, Healers and Heroes Walk. The walk is open to survivors, their friends, family, caretakers, and those walking in remembrance.

Virtual options are available for all events, allowing participants to complete the distance on their own.

Beneficiary

A portion of the event's proceeds will benefit a local brain cancer foundation that supports brain and spine tumor patients and providers in the region. In a previous year, the event raised over $5,000 for two organizations: the Brain Tumor Network, which provides resources for patients and families, and Aware Coaching, which helps survivors regain strength through movement.

Registration Details

Registration includes a t-shirt, a finisher's medal for the 10-mile, 5k, and 1-mile events, a custom race bib, post-race food and drinks, race day photos, and a chance to win prizes. The event is part of the Trivium Racing Road Mega Medal Series. Information about awards, course maps, elite athlete opportunities, and volunteer roles is available.
