Ellicott City Labor Day 10K & 5K
The 23rd annual Ellicott City Labor Day event takes place on September 5, 2026, at the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City, Maryland. The event features certified road races and additional short-course options on the Shrine property.
Distances offered include:
- 10K road race through western Ellicott City countryside and surrounding neighborhoods
- 5K road and trail combo on roads and scenic trails on the Shrine property
- 1K walking option
- 1K kids fun run
Both the 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified. The event uses chip timing provided by Bullseye Running. Performance T-shirts are guaranteed to participants who register by August 17. Awards include cash prizes of $75, $50, and $25 for the top three overall male and female finishers in each race, plus non-cash awards for 1st through 3rd in seven age-group categories.
Additional on-site activities and amenities are listed for the event and include refreshments, music, random prizes, a moonbounce, and snow balls. Packet pick-up is provided at the Feet First store in Columbia on the day before the event; same-day packet pick-up is also available.
