Ellicott City 5K & 10K
The Ellicott City 5K and 10K is an annual community running event held at Banneker Historical Park in Oella, Maryland. The event features multiple distance options and formats, including:

- 10K
- 10K Relay (2-person teams)
The course takes place entirely on paved roads and path surfaces. Participants in the 5K distance complete one loop of the course, while those participating in the 10K complete two loops. A 10K relay option allows two participants to each run one 3.1-mile loop, exchanging a single bib and timing chip at a designated point within the park.
Participation age requirements are set at a minimum of 7 years old for the 5K and 10 years old for the 10K. Due to course safety and insurance regulations, pets, baby joggers, strollers, and bicycles are prohibited. Registration includes a soft cotton t-shirt and a finisher medal. The race utilizes bib tag timing, with results provided in real time. Awards are presented in person following the event to top finishers in overall and age group categories.
