Ellicott City 5K & 10K
The Ellicott City 5K and 10K is a spring community road race held at Banneker Historical Park in Oella / Ellicott City (300 Oella Avenue, Baltimore MD 21228) on May 3, 2026. The event is presented by Rip It Events / RIVAL Race Series and has a stated race capacity of 450 participants; the race has been sold out for the past six years.
The run courses are fully paved roads or paths. The 5K is one loop and the 10K is two loops of the same looped course; strollers are not permitted on the course. A two person 10K relay is offered, with each relay member running 3.1 miles; relay teams receive one bib and one timing shoe tag and perform an exchange at the designated exchange point inside the park.
Registration opens January 2, 2026 and a registration deadline is noted for guaranteed shirts. Packet pick up is required and occurs at the venue on race morning; packets include race bib, timing chip, and participant shirt. Timing uses bib tag timing with the chip affixed to the back of the bib. Porta potties will be at start and finish only.
