The Elkmont Athletic Club Red Devil 5K
The Elkmont Athletic Club Red Devil 5K is scheduled for August 15, 2026 in Elkmont, Alabama. This is the third running of the Red Devil 5K. The course begins in downtown Elkmont and finishes in front of the town hall near 25443 Railroad St.
The course route follows local streets through the town. The published route goes west up Church Street, north on Childrens, east on Upper Fort Hampton, then north on the trail. Runners continue east on Compton Street, south on Veto Road, and return via Upper Fort Hampton. The route includes a left onto High School Road, a left onto Redus around the school, a return to High School Road, then south on Upper Fort Hampton before a final left onto Railroad to the finish in front of the town hall.
Event details published by the organizer note a registration fee of $35.00 and registration open and close dates. Organizers plan awards for top finishers, refreshments and entertainment after the race, and distribution of a race shirt and medal to participants.
This race is part of a series that includes the Holiday Hustle 10k and the Hound Dog Half Marathon. A discount is offered toward the half marathon when participants complete the 5K and the 10k, and a Triple Crown trophy is planned for the fastest overall time across all three races.
