Event Overview
The Elizabeth River Run takes place in Downtown Portsmouth, Virginia. This event marks the 47th running of the race, presented by the Tidewater Striders and the Portsmouth Children's Museum. Course Details and Amenities
Participants in the 10k and 1 Mile events follow paths that begin and end near the Portsmouth pavilion. The 10k route is noted for its flat elevation and scenic views of the water. Registered participants receive a finisher's medal and a race shirt, while supplies last. A post-race gathering at the pavilion includes food, local craft beer, live music, and various vendors.
Competition and Awards
Cash prizes are available for the top three male and female overall finishers and the top masters finishers in the 10k. Age group awards are presented in five-year increments ranging from 19 and under to 75 and over. Special awards are also designated for the top male and female walkers and youth participants in the mile.
