Elizabeth River Run 10K & Mile
The Elizabeth River Run marks its 47th edition in downtown Portsmouth. The event features a certified, fast and flat 10 km course that runs through historic downtown streets and along the seawall, with the start and finish by the pavilion. The Crawford Street Mile is an up-and-back one-mile course that also begins and ends at the pavilion.

Multiple competition categories are listed for the 10K, including run/walk, competitive race walk, and a wheeled athlete division. Awards include top finishers by overall, masters, youth, and five-year age groups through 75 and older. Prize money is awarded to top male and female overall and masters finishers in the 10K. Clubs and groups can compete in a team competition based on age-graded results with an ERR Cup for first place.
Registration fees change by date with early-bird pricing for the 10K and the Mile; a no-shirt option and club discounts are available. Race shirts are guaranteed to the first 750 registered runners. Packet pick-up is available in advance on September 11 and September 12, with race day pickup for out-of-town participants.
