Eliot Festival 5K Road Race
The Eliot Festival 5K Road Race takes place on September 26, 2026, in Eliot, Maine, with the start and finish at Eliot Town Hall, 1333 State Road. The event is part of the Eliot Festival Days celebration.
The USATF-certified course is described as well-marked and includes police escort along scenic rural by-ways. Chip timing is used and results are prepared for state and national rankings; results are sent to pre-registered runners and posted online.
Walkers and strollers are permitted; dogs and bicycles are not allowed on the course. Cash prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place in the men’s and women’s categories, and medals are presented to winners in all age groups.
Online registration fees noted for the event are $45 for runners age 18 and older and $32 for runners 17 and under if completed by September 25, 2026. Limited day-of registration is available. Team registration is supported, with the Team Captain creating the team name before other members register. Packet pick-up is available the day before at the Eliot Town Hall parking lot and on race morning near the starting area.
Parking is provided on State Road across from Wiltshire Road; organizers note a caution about poison ivy in the parking field and a posted speed limit of 10 MPH. Water is available at the start/finish area and at a station near 2.8 km on the course. Proceeds support Footprints Food Pantry, the Eliot Fuel Assistance Fund, and the William Fogg Library.
