Eliot Festival 5K Road Race
The Eliot Festival 5K Road Race takes place on September 26, 2026, at Eliot Town Hall, 1333 State Road, Eliot, Maine. The event is organized by the Eliot Festival Day Committee and opens the 45th Eliot Festival Days celebration. Proceeds support Footprints Food Pantry, the Eliot Fuel Assistance Fund, and the William Fogg Library.
The course is USATF certified, well marked, and uses police escort along scenic rural byways. The start and finish are located in the Eliot Town Hall parking lot. Chip timing is provided with a common start and finish using ChronoTrack equipment; results are prepared to USATF standards and published for rankings and live timing. Results are also shared via established race result services and texted to pre-registered runners shortly after the race.
Walkers and strollers are welcome. Dogs and bicycles are not permitted on the course. Awards include cash prizes for first through third place in the men and women divisions, plus medals for age group winners. Packet pick-up is available the evening before the race and on race morning near the starting line. Free parking is provided nearby with attendants; participants should note a caution about poison ivy in the parking field. Water is available at the start and finish, with an on-course water station near 2.8 km and post-race refreshments for runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
