Eliot Festival 5K Road Race
The Eliot Festival 5K Road Race takes place in Eliot, Maine on September 26, 2026, as part of the 45th Eliot Festival Days celebration. The event is organized by the Eliot Festival Day Committee and is centered at Eliot Town Hall, with the start and finish located in the Town Hall parking lot.
The USATF-certified course follows scenic, rural by-ways and is marked with a police escort. Chip timing is used to USATF standards, with results prepared for state and national rankings and published after the race. A water station is located at about 2.8 km on the course, and additional water is available at the start/finish area. Complimentary post-race food and drink are provided for participants.
Proceeds support Footprints Food Pantry, the Eliot Fuel Assistance Fund, and the William Fogg Library. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three men and women, and medals are given to winners in all age groups. Walkers and strollers are permitted; dogs and bicycles are not allowed on the course.
Registration is available online through September 25, 2026, with a limited day-of registration option. Runner packets can be picked up the day before the race and on race day near the starting area. Free parking is provided nearby; runners should note a caution about poison ivy in the parking field. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
