Event details
The Elevating Autism 5K & 1Mi. takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Sam Smith Park, 152 Milner Rd. SE, Cartersville, GA 30120. The event includes the following races and entries:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- "GHOST RUNNER" entry
- Youth 5K
The 5K course is USATF-certified and is a qualifying event for the 2025 AJC Peachtree Road Race. The event is presented by Academy ABA.
Registration and logistics
Pre-race online registration is open until 11:59 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026; registering by that date is noted as a way to guarantee T-shirt size. 5K early-bird pricing is listed as $25 through March 1, 2026, then $30 thereafter. Listed entry prices include $20 for the 1 Mile and youth 5K, and $30 for the GHOST RUNNER. Race-day rates shown are $40 for the 5K and $30 for the 1 Mile. Pre-race packet pickup and shirt distribution are scheduled Friday, April 17 (noon to 8:00 PM) at Big Peach Running Co., 402 E Church St, Suite 107 & 108, Cartersville.
Free parking is available at the Ric Mason Soccer Complex parking lot behind Cartersville Middle School. Restrooms are available on site. A mid-course water station and finish-area refreshments (water, Gatorade, fruit, snacks) are provided.
Awards and cancellation policy
5K awards include Top 3 Overall M&F, Top Master M&F, and Top 3 in each listed age group for M&F (age groups from 10 & under through 70 & over). The 1 Mile will award medals to the first 3 boys and first 3 girls. The event will be held rain or shine unless organizers and local authorities determine cancellation is necessary; if canceled, registered participants for the 5K/1M distances will be transferred to the rescheduled date with no refunds or credits.
