The 32nd Annual El Toro Chargers 4th of July 5K
The event is a community 5K run and walk held in Lake Forest, California at Chinook Drive and Lake Forest Drive on July 4, 2026. The course and parade route run through tree lined streets of the community. Proceeds support the El Toro High School cross country and track and field programs and the Parent Student Teacher Organization.

- Kids 1K for ages 10 and under
- Virtual options for student and non student categories
Registration uses tiered pricing with different rates for students, non students, and kids. Earlybird, latebird, and race day pricing apply. Example fees from the event schedule include students at $20 during early and late registration and $25 on race day, non students from $40 early to $60 on race day, and kids at $20 to $25.
Packet pick up is available at Road Runner Sports in Laguna Hills the day before the event and at the corner of Chinook Drive and Lake Forest Drive on event day. Those who pick up packets the day before are entered into a raffle for a $100 Road Runner Sports gift card and Road Runner Sports will make a donation for packets picked up that day.
Medals are provided to all participants. An awards ceremony will recognize the top three finishers per age group in each gender and the top three overall per gender. Parking is available in the Ralphs shopping center and some local streets are closed on the event date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
