The 32nd Annual El Toro Chargers 4th of July 5K
This event takes place on July 4, 2026 in Lake Forest, California at the corner of Chinook Drive and Lake Forest Drive. The course and the city's Independence Day parade run through tree lined streets in the community. Proceeds support the El Toro Cross Country and Track & Field programs and the students of El Toro High School through the Parent Student Teacher Organization.

Registration pricing is tiered. Earlybird rates run March 1 through June 14 with student, non-student and kids fees. Late registration runs June 15 through July 3 with adjusted non-student rates. Online or in-person registration on race day uses higher fees. Online registration closes July 3, 2026 at 10:00 PM PDT.
Bib packet pickup is available Friday, July 3 at Road Runner Sports, 24291 Avenida De La Carlota, Laguna Hills; pickups on that day will be entered into a raffle and help generate a donation. Limited packet pickup is available on the morning of the event at the corner of Chinook Drive and Lake Forest Drive for a donation.
Awards include medals for all participants. The top three finishers in each age group and gender will be recognized with plaques and the top three overall in each gender will receive plaques and a gift card to Road Runner Sports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
